Trade 2018 recently welcomed senior representatives from the Singapore Tourism Board, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Austrade to Queensland. The delegation visited Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) competition venues while in Queensland for Australia-Singapore Tourism Officials’ Talks program.
Singapore will be one of seven priority markets for the program which will look to position Queensland as a place to invest and importantly, a premier tourism destination.
Stopping by the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre and the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct, delegates were able to see firsthand where Games action would take place.
Trade 2018 is being led by the Queensland Government in partnership with the City of Gold Coast. This program is working with business and industry to leverage trade and investment opportunities in priority Commonwealth markets.
The program will ensure investors can embrace the opportunities GC2018 will provide before, during and after the Games.
